The Volumic 3D story began around 7 years ago with a simple observation: France was absent from the strategic FDM 3D printing market!

Passionate and convinced of the relevance of our project to create French-made 3D printers, we contacted French industrialists/SMEs who followed and supported us in this adventure... at a time when outsourcing to China was already in fashion.

Today, more than a year after the start of the epidemic, the Chinese economy is already back on its feet and the U.S. is offering itself a pharaonic recovery plan.

Our country and Europe, for their part, are working to get our economy moving again with plans like France Relance.

Unfortunately, many interested companies have not yet received a favorable response, financial resources are limited and the lack of visibility on the future is leading to a certain wait-and-see attitude on the part of companies.

The major risk is that this unfavorable context will paradoxically persist at a time when 3D printing has been identified as one of the pillars of the "Industrie 4.0" project aimed at modernizing/relaunching our industry and our companies, as this technology enables us to lower maintenance and development costs, reduce time to market, gain in flexibility and address new markets... ...

This paradox becomes even more extreme because, on average, our machines pay for themselves between 1 and 2 months after start-up!

Postponing this type of investment could prove fatal, since the risk for our country is not only of being technologically out of the game in the short/medium term, but also, more immediately, of missing out on the economic recovery train that the Chinese and Americans have already embarked on.

A new observation therefore became obvious to us: As a French manufacturer, our responsibility is to support and reinforce the various national recovery plans!

We've therefore decided to immediately cover 15% of the purchase price of one of our printers, in order to help our economy (industry, VSEs/SMEs, ETIs) as well as our research and education, which represent the common future of our country.
