BIM 2018 Architecture: VOLUMIC Partner

The BIM movement in architecture aims to facilitate the feasibility of projects (structuring, creation, production, analysis, management processes, etc.).
 

Volumic is partnering architects and model makers again this year with its 3D printers. We are pleased to offer the 2018 3D printed trophies as part of BIM WORLD and the BIM CONTEST organized by POLANTIS.

Awards ceremony on April 26, 2018

Our 3D printers are often used to create models and real estate or urban planning projects, to quickly visualize and validate certain stages of a project. One of our customers, Nomade Factory was kind enough to explain their applications through a presentation of their models.

A reminder of the BIM CONTEST project for this very special edition:

Polantis has joined forces with the city of Suresnes and INS HEA (Institut National Supérieur de Formation et de Recherche pour l'Éducation des Jeunes Handicapés) to encourage reflection on an urban treasure from the 1930s:

École de Plein Air de Suresnes (listed as a historic monument). A proposal has been made to reallocate the school.

At the same time, the candidates designed the digital model of a 500-student college located on the adjacent land, in place of the INS HEA (due to move soon). The three winning teams will be honored on April 26, 2018 at the awards ceremony to be held at Halle Pajol (Paris 18th), Paris' first eco-neighborhood.
