The 2017 BIM Competition is a competition for architects and architecture students whose aim is to promote this essential working method known as BIM.
The 2017 edition of the BIM Competition invites candidates to reflect on the town center of the commune of Saint-Prix. Candidates will have to design the informed digital mock-up of several housing and retail buildings, which will be integrated into a wider project to create a new centrality for the town.
Volumic 3D, which supports players in the architectural sector with its STREAM multi-material 3D printers, is once again a partner in this event.
The BIM Competition awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in Paris, and the trophies that will reward the winners have been printed with a Stream 3D printer and are made of PLA (100% biodegradable corn starch).
