Volumic is partnering again this year with architects and model makers with its 3D printers. We are pleased to offer the 2018 3D printed trophies as part of the BIM WORLD and BIM CONTEST organized by POLANTIS

Our 3D printers are very often used in the creation of models and real estate or urban planning projects, in order to visualize and quickly validate certain stages of a project. One of our customers, Nomade Factory was kind enough to explain their applications through a presentation of their models.

A reminder of the BIM CONTEST project for this very special edition:
Polantis has joined forces with the city of Suresnes and the INS HEA (Institut National Supérieur de Formation et de Recherche pour l’Éducation des Jeunes Handicapés) to encourage reflection on an urban treasure from the 1930s:
The Suresnes Outdoor School (classified as a historical monument). The latter was the subject of a proposal for reassignment.
In parallel, the candidates designed the digital model of a college of 500 students located on the adjacent land, in place of the INS HEA (due to move soon). The three winning teams will be awarded on April 26, 2018 at the awards ceremony to be held at the Halle Pajol (Paris 18th), Paris’ first eco-district.
